groovy girl dancing groovy to a classic song by daft punk
Just loved the video below. Totally addictive. Decided the singer must be from Sweden or Iceland… it’s the dress. Looked up her site and there it was, “Emiliana in Reykjavik”.
Here’s another video that shows she and her band are versatile and imaginative,
Thanks, Liz for passing this on.
a family of 5 children, 4 adults arrive on the doorstep early evening hoping for a room. the sign at the bottom of the laneway to the hotel clearly says “no vacancy”.
Turns out their car broke down just down the road, and they need a place to stay… we manage to finaggle something for them miraculously. Some stranger from the day before helps them get the car back on the road the next day (he told them he’d help, and he actually showed up to do that in the morning).
The whole family but the husband were from mexico…. making me feel that between us and the man who helped the car get back on the road, we did huge justice to the name “Canadian!”.

Wonderful piles of new snow last night:
Everything is hibernating:
I just love it, though I don’t have to dig out any vehicle. : )
Sara is kindly spending the next while wrapping Christmas gifts. This is a tradition she started a few years ago. It means that I only have to wrap her presents! Thank you, sweety…
On the third Advent Sunday of this year, it snows. Fairy lights adorn the city. A large congregation gathers in the cathedral around the corner from our house. In our household, we light a candle and send our loving thoughts out to all.
Every year at this time a slew of motorcyclists dress up and decorate their motorcycles in the Christmas spirit.
Take a look at the details of the motorcycle decorations. Inclusive of icicles on the muffler.
There were 30-40 motorcyclists in a row.

There was even a police officer in a Santa cap and a tiny American flag riding along.
